Women's basketball lets Westminster slip away

FULTON, Mo. - The women's basketball team faced a tough challenge on the road, falling 73-60 to Westminster (Mo.). Despite a spirited effort, the Panthers couldn't overcome the Blue Jays.

How it Happened:

Alyssa Seymour shined for Greenville, posting another double-double with ten points and thirteen rebounds, while Cortney Brummer and Carolina Hoffman each added seven points.

Baylie Joiner added nine points and five rebounds off the bench.

The Panthers found success at the free-throw line, converting 16-of-23 attempts, but their 34.4% shooting from the field and just 16.7% from three-point range hindered their offense.

Greenville made a push in the third quarter, scoring eighteen points and another seventeen in the fourth, but they couldn't surpass Westminster for the win.

Up Next:

The Panthers (5-7, 3-2 SLIAC) play Webster on Saturday in St. Louis for a 1:00 p.m. tipoff.
