GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's basketball team secured a commanding 77-60 victory over MUW, thanks to a strong fourth-quarter performance. Greenville's balanced attack and efficient shooting proved too much for MUW to handle.
How it Happened:
The game opened with GU jumping to a 28-16 lead in the first quarter, showcasing aggressive play and sharp execution. MUW responded in the second quarter, narrowing the halftime gap to 37-33.
After a tightly contested third quarter, Greenville unleashed a dominant 26-11 surge in the fourth, pulling away decisively.
Carolina Hoffman led the way with eighteen points, going a perfect 2-for-2 from beyond the arc.
Cortney Brummer contributed fifteen points and three steals, while Alyssa Seymour grabbed nine rebounds. Seymour also threw up thirteen points herself.
Greenville's superior rebounding (42-35) and defensive intensity sealed the win.
