GREENVILLE, Ill. - Greenville displayed heart and defensive intensity despite falling 69-47 to Washington (Mo.). The Panthers were led by Savana Powell-Goodman's offensive performance and Cortney Brummer's defense.
How it Happened:
Powell-Goodman led the way with seventeen points, four steals, and a perfect 7-for-7 showing at the free-throw line.
Carolina Hoffman added fourteen points on 6-for-11 shooting, providing a reliable scoring punch.
Baylie Joiner made the most of her minutes, grabbing three offensive rebounds and going 4-for-4 from the line to finish with six points.
Brummer pulled down six rebounds to lead the Panthers.
Though Greenville struggled from deep (4-for-26 from three), their resilience was clear. After a slow first half, the Panthers responded with an 18-point third quarter, closing the gap to within a few baskets.
