WILMORE, Ky. - The men's soccer team picked up their first win of the season against Asbury University. The Panthers defeated the Eagles 2-1 on Friday evening. 

Asbury had the first goal of the game in the 12th minute. Greenville managed to tie it up with a goal from Gabriel Lima in the 28th minute. Andres Garcia had the assist.

The Panthers went into halftime with a 1-1 score. Both teams had five shots in the first half.

Greenville gained their second goal just two minutes into the second half. In the 47th minute, Eric Miller scored with another assist from Andres Garcia.

The Panthers left the score at 2-1 for the remainder of the game. Both teams had another five shots in the second half.

Jaime Sainz was in the net for the Panthers and had a total of three saves.

Greenville (1-2) will face Berea on Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
