LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The men's soccer team played to a 2-2 draw with Spalding on Tuesday, marking the second time this season that the teams finished in a deadlock.
In Tuesday's match, the Golden Eagles struck first with a goal in the sixth minute of the match.
In the 14th minute, Juan Salazar delivered an unassisted goal to tie the score at 1-all.
Two minutes later, Spalding took a 2-1 lead, but the Panthers tied the match in the 18th minute when Napoleon Urquidi slipped a shot into the lower left corner.
The Panthers were outshot in the match by a 13-11 margin, and goalkeeper Gerardo Lopez collected five saves.
GU was led by Jared McPeek's four shots in the match.
Greenville (1-5-3, 1-3-2 SLIAC) hosts Eureka on Friday at 1 p.m. in their next match.
