CARLINVILLE, Ill. - The softball team split a non-conference doubleheader with Blackburn on Wednesday. Greenville won the first game 9-1 in a shortened six inning contest before losing the second game 7-2.

Greenville led 3-0 after the first, 5-1 after the third and 8-1 in the fourth inning.

The Panthers added a run in the top of the sixth to give them the cushion needed to shorten the game

Game two began with a Panther run in the top of the first and later in the top of the third as the team went ahead 2-0.

A sixth run fifth inning gave Blackburn an insurmountable lead, and the Beavers won 7-2.

Hannah Hoffmann delivered a 2-for-3 afternoon in the batter's box.
