RICHMOND, Ind. -- The women's soccer team opened their season Friday with a 2-1 loss at Earlham.  Newcomer Barbara Nigro had Greenville's goal.

Hope Brakenhoff was Greenville's netminder and had three saves.

The game was tied 1-1 when Earlham tallied the game-winning with 6:18 remaining.

Greenville was outshot 10-5 with all of the Greenville shots coming in the second half.

The Lady Panthers (0-1) travel to Anderson on Saturday.
