Men's basketball pours in 93 against top SLIAC opponent, Webster

WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. – Greenville men's basketball continued to show fight against the SLIAC's top team on Saturday afternoon, putting up 93 points in a tough road test at Webster before falling 122-93 at Grant Gym.

How it Happened:

The Panthers came out aggressive and never backed down, scoring 45 first-half points and attacking the paint throughout the game. Greenville finished with 44 points in the paint and added 22 second-chance points, consistently creating extra opportunities with strong effort on the glass.

Tim Lofton led the Panthers with 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting while also pulling down seven rebounds and collecting three steals.

Joseph Schreiber-Rivera added 14 points, knocking down a pair of threes, and Joshua Williford chipped in 13 points while dishing out four assists.

Greenville also received balanced production across the lineup, with 13 different players scoring and the bench contributing 41 points.

The Panthers' defensive activity stood out, as Greenville forced turnovers and turned them into 34 points, keeping pressure on Webster for the full 40 minutes. Despite Webster's efficient shooting, Greenville continued to compete possession by possession, showing depth, energy, and offensive firepower.

Greenville will look to build on the positives from its scoring output and balanced contributions as the SLIAC schedule slows down.
