GREENVILLE, Ill. - The men's basketball team delivered an impressive offensive performance Tuesday night, earning a 105–94 SLIAC victory over Principia at H.J. Long Gymnasium. The Panthers set the tone early, pouring in 63 first-half points to seize control and never relinquish the lead.
How it Happened:
Elijah Goad paced Greenville with 22 points, knocking down six three-pointers to spark the attack.
Tim Lofton added a strong all-around effort with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while
Joseph Schreiber-Rivera chipped in 11 points. Greenville's depth proved decisive, as the Panthers' bench accounted for 47 points and provided consistent energy throughout the contest.
Despite Principia's efficiency inside, Greenville countered with ball movement and perimeter shooting, recording 27 assists and forcing 29 turnovers. The Panthers also capitalized on those miscues, scoring 34 points off turnovers to maintain separation in the second half.
With the win, Greenville improved to 4–10 overall and 2–3 in SLIAC play, carrying momentum into the next stretch of conference action.
