FULTON, Mo. - The baseball team's season came to an end in a SLIAC tournament quarterfinal game against Westminster on Tuesday evening. The Panthers showed flashes of offensive power, but ultimately fell 16-5.
How it Happened:
Despite a standout performance from Markus Isaiah, the Panthers were unable to make a comeback. Isaiah led the charge for Greenville, going 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two RBIs.
The Panthers rallied in the third inning, scoring four runs to cut a 6-0 deficit to just two runs. Isaiah's RBI fielder's choice got Greenville on the board, followed by clutch hits from George Schneider, Snyder Pennington, and Wilson Decker.
Decker continued his hot hitting, going 3-for-4 with an RBI, while Pennington swiped a base and added a run-scoring single.
The Panthers collected ten hits in the game, but couldn't overcome a powerful Westminster lineup that struck for sixteen runs on fourteen hits.
Despite the loss, Greenville's bullpen delivered a strong middle-inning effort, with Cade Buehnerkemper allowing just one run over 3.2 innings while striking out three.

The Panthers end their season with a 15-24 overall record and an 8-10 conference record, finishing sixth in the SLIAC. Multiple Panthers were recognized on All-Conference teams, including Isaiah, who earned a spot on First Team All-Conference! Decker, Schneider, and Miggy Villalobos were all named Second Team, while Pennington took a spot on Third Team. Austin Carithers was named All-Sportsmanship Team.
