Women's Track & Field sends three to NCAA Championships after Augustana meet

AUGUSTANA, Ill. - The women's track and field team competed in a last chance meet at Augustana (IL), putting up some dominant performances. 

How it Happened:

The Panthers saw a third-place finish from Kenzie Kurdys in the pole vault, collecting a 3.71m mark. 

Talahiva Talanoa and TyKiaza Jones picked up a few fourth-place spots in their events. Talanoa threw 13.62m in shot put and 53.59m in the hammer to take fourth in both. 

Jones ran a 14.33s in the 100m hurdles to earn fourth.

In the high jump, Anna Beth Vancil posted a 1.59m finish to place sixth. 

Ella Ray and the 4x100 (47.74s) and 4x400 (3:51.65) teams took eleventh in their events. Ray threw for 45.10m in the hammer. 

Up Next:

The Panthers will send Kurdys, Jones, and Talanoa to the NCAA Division III Championships next week. Kurdys will compete in the pole vault, while Jones will represent GU in the 100m hurdles. Talanoa qualified for the shot put and hammer throw.
