GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's track and field team takes another conference title, placing first in the 2025 SLIAC Outdoor Championships with 293.00 points. The Panthers collected twelve event titles and fifteen second and third-place finishes.
How it Happened:
In the pole vault, Kenzie Kurdys took first with a 3.90m performance, while Katie Farrow finished second with a 2.90m.
Jazmyn Harmon crushed it in the triple jump, placing first (11.55m), while Lainey Hicks and Madison Kacevicius took third and fourth.
TyKiaza Jones brought home multiple titles, taking the gold in the 100m hurdles (14.58s) and 400m hurdles (1:10.65).
Gretchen Carie and Talahiva Talanoa also placed first in several events. Carie was on top in the 3000m steeplechase (11:49.71) and the 1500m (4:56.08).
Talanoa took the top spot in the discus, hammer, and shot put. She threw for 41.66m in discus, 52.56m in the hammer, and 14.65m in the shot put.
In the 800m run, Eva Schwaab did well, placing first with a 2:25.48.
The 4x400 and 4x100 teams both took the gold with 4:03.77 and 48.33s performances.
Jocelyn Fritz also put up some great numbers in the 100m dash (12.41s) and 200m (25.11s).
With their amazing performances, many athletes received all-conference honors. Talanoa was named the Women's Field Athlete of the Year, Taylor Tucker received All-Sportsmanship Team, and the Greenville coaching staff got the Women's Coaching Staff of the Year!
