LA CROSSE, Wis. – Despite a relentless offensive effort, Greenville couldn't keep pace with Wis.-La Crosse, falling 120-93 in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Tournament on Friday night.
How it Happened:
The Panthers pushed the tempo early but struggled to contain the Eagles' inside presence, trailing 61-44 at halftime.
Grimmett Glenn led Greenville with sixteen points, while Jaylen Williams added thirteen on an efficient 5-of-6 shooting.
The Panthers forced eighteen steals and shot an impressive 90.9% from the free-throw line.
Despite flashes of Greenville's signature fast-paced attack, the Eagles' efficiency proved too much to overcome.
Though the season ends here, the Panthers showcased their high-energy style that earned them a 20-win season and a conference title.
