BATESVILLE, Ark. & COLUMBUS, Miss. — Greenville dropped a pair of high-scoring road contests this week, losing 137-153 to Lyon on Thursday and 109-142 to MUW on Saturday. However, the Panthers continued to showcase their trademark pace, depth, and offensive firepower while several players delivered standout performances.
How it Happened:
On Thursday at Lyon, Greenville poured in 137 points behind a scorching second-half surge, outscoring the Scots 81–75 after the break.
Elijah Goad erupted for 22 points off the bench, drilling six threes, while
Joshua Williford added 17 and
Brandon Tully chipped in 20.
Greenville's bench dominated with 76 points, and the Panthers hit 21 threes—fueling a relentless push that kept the game tight despite Lyon's hot shooting inside.
Two days later at MUW, Greenville again pushed the tempo, putting up 59 first-half points and finishing with 109.
Williford and Goad each scored 20, while
Caleb Johnson provided an efficient spark with 12 points in just seven minutes.
Sheldon Grant II added 11 points and four rebounds as Greenville's pressure created 27 points off turnovers.
Despite the final scores, Greenville's depth, pace, and improving offensive balance were on full display.
