ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The men's and women's cross country teams raced at the Augustana (Ill.) course in the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational. The men's team placed sixth while the women's team placed fourth. Gianni Estrada and Gretchen Carie led the pack once again.
How it Happened:
Men's 8K
Estrada ran a 26:59.2 to earn eigth place, while Joe Gomez and Jalen Franz followed him with a 27:14.8 and 27:49.8.
Greenville scored a 135 to get sixth, just one point behind Millikin.
Women's 6K
Carie ran a 23:47.5 to place third. Norah Swinigan and Raven Vance ran a 25:23.9 and 25:58.7 as the next highest finishers for GU.
The Lady Panthers were also just behind Millikin to take fourth place with a score of 104.
After finishing fourteenth in their races, Gomez and Swinigan were both awarded SLIAC Runner of the Week.

The Panthers travel to Terre Haute, Ind. on Friday to run in the Division III Pre-Nationals meet. Women will race at 5:30 p.m. and men will start at 6:15 p.m. The championship race will follow.
